About our Club
Who are we?
We are a cycling club based south of Reading, formed in 2011. Our focus is on enjoying a variety of riding.
We ride every Sunday morning, with longer rides and events monthly from Spring to Autumn. Our members include social riders and some more competitive spirits, from their Teens to their 60s,. Our juniors ride with the Sprockets Cycle Club.
If you are looking for a club to expand your cycling, a visiting cyclist or a triathlete, you are welcome to join us on a ride to see what we are like.

We ride every Sunday, with other events most months
Our regular social rides depart from School Green, Shinfield every Sunday at 08:00am (08:30 in winter).
Rides are typically 40 to 70 miles in duration, with a coffee stop in the middle, and normally run in 3 groups at varying speeds:
- Main Group rides circa 45 miles at around 15 mph
- Swift Group rides circa 50 miles at around 16.5 mph
- Fast Social Group rides circa 55 miles at 17 mph +

If you want to join us for a ride, just contact us via the link below or the facebook page and we will let you know what is happening that week.
From April to September we run monthly newcomer and returner rides on the first and third Sunday of the month with speeds to accommodate all, to introduce new members to club riding. See more details on the New Members page.
SVC supports younger riders
In July 2021 our junior section merged into Sprockets Cycle Club.
